Air Knocker Stainless Steel Knocker
Product Overview
The Stainless Steel Air Knocker is a corrosion-resistant version of the high-performance Air Knocker series, designed to prevent material buildup and blockages in hoppers, tanks, and other powder handling equipment. Ideal for food, chemical, and pharmaceutical applications, it uses compressed air to deliver a powerful impact for smooth material flow.
Requiring only a compressed air supply, it offers safe and economical operation. Adjustable impact force and relay piping capability provide added flexibility for a wide range of applications. (Relay piping is not available on the RKVS15.)
Key Features
Hygienic and Corrosion-Resistant Stainless Steel Body
Designed for applications requiring superior corrosion resistance and hygiene, the Stainless Steel Air Knocker is ideal for the food, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries.
The body, mounting base, and bolt sets are all constructed from stainless steel, providing excellent durability, cleanliness, and resistance to corrosion.
Adjustable Impact Force
The Stainless Steel Knocker series uses a unique mushroom valve mechanism to adjust impact force simply by changing the air pressure. Higher pressure increases impact force for stubborn material buildup and blockages, while lower pressure reduces impact and noise.
This flexibility helps optimize performance and can often compensate for over- or under-sizing during equipment selection.
Relay Piping for Multiple Air Knockers
The Air Knocker series supports relay piping, allowing a single control panel to operate one or multiple Air Knockers simultaneously.
This simplifies installation and enables efficient operation across multiple locations.
* For automatic control, install a solenoid valve (AG43-02-4-02G) upstream of the AOC-1B on the air supply side.
* N2 tube size: RKVS20: Ø6 × Ø4 mm / RKVS30, RKVS40, RKVS60: Ø8 × Ø6 mm.
* Relay piping is not available for the RKVS15 model.
Air Knocker Operating Principle
1. Compressed air supplied to the Air Knocker first enters the valve chamber, where it pushes the mushroom valve downward and accumulates in the pressure chamber. 2. When the three-way valve is activated, the air in the valve chamber is exhausted, allowing the compressed air in the pressure chamber to lift the mushroom valve. 3. The movement of the mushroom valve releases the compressed air in the pressure chamber, driving the piston downward at high speed to strike the base surface. The resulting impact force effectively eliminates material buildup, bridging, and clogging of powders and bulk solids.
Compact and Lightweight for Expanded Applications
RKVS15 Stainless Steel Knocker is compact and lightweight, measuring just 34 mm in diameter, 110 mm in height, and weighing only 430 g.
This enables installation on small powder containers and chutes where larger knockers are not practical, extending blockage prevention to more areas of the system.
Convenient Push-One Connector (RKVS15 and RKVS20)
RKVS15 and RKVS20 feature Push-One fittings for quick installation and flexible air inlet orientation. Smaller-diameter tubing is used for easier routing, with 4 mm O.D. tubing for RKVS15 and 6 mm O.D. tubing for RKVS20.
A conversion kit is included with each model for direct connection to existing controllers with 8 mm outlet ports.
Simple Structure and High Durability
Stainless Steel Knocker series features a simple, robust design that minimizes maintenance requirements and reduces the need for spare parts.
Proven through years of successful field operation, it is recognized for its exceptional reliability, corrosion resistance, long service life, and virtually maintenance-free performance.
Designed for Flexible Mounting Options (RKVS15)
RKVS15 Stainless Steel Air Knocker can be installed using a single M10 bolt, allowing quick and flexible mounting.
No mounting brackets or welding to the vessel are required. It can also be installed using an optional mounting bracket, providing a variety of installation options to suit different equipment configurations.
Exhaust Filter Installation and Extended Exhaust Line
The Stainless Steel Knocker features oil-free operation, making it suitable for cleanroom applications. The threaded exhaust port allows exhaust air to be routed through an extension tube to a remote location. When exhaust line extension is not practical, an optional exhaust filter is available. Exhaust extension components and filters are available as optional accessories.
