Air Knocker Air Knocker (Indirect Impact)
Product Overview
The Air Knocker (Indirect Impact Type) uses compressed air to drive a piston that delivers powerful impacts to the equipment surface. These impacts effectively prevent material buildup, bridging, and clogging of powders and bulk solids. Requiring only a compressed air supply, it offers a safe and cost-effective solution for maintaining smooth material flow.
Key Features
Air Knocker Operating Principle
1. Compressed air supplied to the Air Knocker first enters the valve chamber, where it pushes the mushroom valve downward and accumulates in the pressure chamber. 2. When the three-way valve is activated, the air in the valve chamber is exhausted, allowing the compressed air in the pressure chamber to lift the mushroom valve. 3. The movement of the mushroom valve releases the compressed air in the pressure chamber, driving the piston downward at high speed to strike the base surface. The resulting impact force effectively eliminates material buildup, bridging, and clogging of powders and bulk solids.
Compact and Lightweight Design
The RKV-PB Air Knocker Series delivers the same performance and air tank capacity as previous models in a more compact design.
An aluminum die-cast cylinder contributes to a substantial reduction in weight, improving handling and installation. Furthermore, a resin sleeve incorporated into the cylinder reduces wear and enhances long-term durability.
Adjustable Impact Force
The Air Knocker series uses a unique mushroom valve mechanism to adjust impact force by simply changing the air pressure. Higher pressure increases impact force for stubborn material buildup and blockages, while lower pressure reduces impact and noise.
This flexibility helps optimize performance and can often compensate for over- or under-sizing during equipment selection.
Relay Piping for Multiple Air Knockers
The Air Knocker series supports relay piping, allowing a single control panel to operate one or multiple Air Knockers simultaneously.
This simplifies installation and enables efficient operation across multiple locations.
Oil-Free and Environmentally Friendly
The Air Knocker features oil-free operation, requiring no lubricators or oil supply maintenance.
This reduces operating costs, simplifies maintenance, and supports a cleaner working environment.
Simple Structure and High Durability
The Air Knocker series has achieved over 1 million impact cycles in durability testing (excluding the RKV120P model). Its simple, robust design minimizes maintenance requirements and reduces the need for spare parts.
Proven through years of successful field operation, this series is recognized for its exceptional reliability, long service life, and virtually maintenance-free performance.
Convenient Push-One Connector (RKV20P Only)
RKV20P features a Push-One fitting for quick installation and flexible air inlet orientation. The tubing size has been reduced from 8 mm to 6 mm, and a standard adapter fitting allows direct connection to existing controllers with 8 mm outlet ports.
This design improves installation flexibility while maintaining compatibility with existing equipment.
Compact and Lightweight for Expanded Applications
RKV20P is compact and lightweight, measuring just 57 mm in diameter, 130 mm in height, and weighing only 0.8 kg.
This enables installation on small powder containers, hoppers, and chutes where larger knockers are not practical.
Powerful Impact for Severe Blockages
With approximately twice the impact force of the RKV100PA, RKV120P provides powerful performance for eliminating material buildup and blockages.
It is ideal for use in hoppers, silos, and chutes.
Air Knocker Installation Method
* To prevent accidental falling, secure the unit using the supplied safety wire and shackle. Be sure to secure the threaded section of the shackle with safety wire to prevent loosening.
* Position the mounting bracket so that the safety wire remains taut when installed.
* RKV120P is supplied with a safety chain. Pass the shackle of the supplied safety chain through the mounting hole on the unit and secure it with the cotter pin provided to prevent accidental disengagement.
