Product Overview

Spiral Head Vibrator is an internal concrete vibrator featuring spiral grooves on the surface of the vibrator head.

Our standard lineup consists of four models: 
HBM40AXS (6 m) and HBM50AXS (6 m) with a standard metal head 
HBM40AXS-R (6 m) and HBM50AXS-R (6 m) with a rubber-tipped head

Spiral Head Vibrator is a compact yet powerful internal concrete vibrator featuring a spiral-grooved vibrator head. By maximizing contact with fresh concrete, the unique spiral design improves vibration transmission efficiency and enhances concrete consolidation, even in densely reinforced areas.

The integrated clockwise/counterclockwise rotation function allows operators to control the direction of vibration transmission for greater flexibility and improved placement performance.

Selectable rotation direction optimizes concrete placement and consolidation. 
Clockwise rotation generates upward thrust to help level fresh concrete and release entrapped air. 
Counterclockwise rotation generates downward thrust, improving concrete flow into congested reinforcing bars and enhancing vibration transmission.

If the vibrator head becomes caught between reinforcing bars, reversing the rotation direction can help free the vibrator and reduce equipment loss.

Spiral Head Vibrator was developed to improve concrete consolidation in densely reinforced areas. Developed in collaboration with a major Japanese construction company, it delivers excellent workability and reliable performance in locations where conventional vibrators are less effective.

Key Features

Advantages of the Spiral Design

The spiral grooves on the vibrator head maximize contact with fresh concrete, increasing vibration transfer efficiency. The unique groove design creates greater engagement with the concrete, allowing vibration energy to be transmitted more effectively. This results in improved concrete consolidation, particularly in densely reinforced areas where effective vibration transmission is critical.

Advantages of Selectable Rotation Direction

The spiral-groove design and reversible rotation function allow control of vibration transmission direction, improving concrete placement and consolidation performance. Clockwise rotation generates upward thrust to improve concrete leveling and promote the release of entrapped air, contributing to better concrete consolidation.

Checking Vibration Direction

To check the rotation direction, lightly hold the vibrator head with your right hand as shown. If your finger moves to the right, the vibrator is rotating clockwise; if it moves to the left, it is rotating counterclockwise. 
To check the rotation direction on a floor surface, place the vibrator head in contact with the floor. If the vibrator head moves to the right, the motor is rotating clockwise; if it moves to the left, the motor is rotating counterclockwise.

Prevents Vibrator Entrapment

The hand switch allows operators to select clockwise or counterclockwise rotation. If the vibrator head becomes caught between reinforcing bars during concrete placement, reversing the rotation direction can help release the vibrator and reduce the risk of equipment entrapment. 
* If the vibrator head becomes firmly trapped within multiple layers of reinforcement, physical removal may not be possible.

Available Round Head Tip or Rubber Head Tip Options

Round Head: 
The specially designed round head minimizes concrete splatter during insertion and withdrawal. Its optimized tip shape also helps the insertion point close cleanly after the vibrator is removed, contributing to a smooth concrete finish.

Rubber Head: 
During concrete placement, the rubber head helps reduce noise when the concrete vibrator comes into contact with formwork or reinforcing bars (rebar). It also helps protect formwork surfaces and prevents damage to surrounding materials, such as tiles and other finished components.

Eco-Friendly Product

HBM Series features an eco-friendly heavy-duty flexible cable made from environmentally responsible materials. Compared with our previous models, the cable is approximately 10% lighter, improving handling and ease of use.

* Environmentally friendly materials refer to materials that do not contain halogen elements such as chlorine, which can generate harmful substances during incineration or landfill disposal, or lead components that may pose risks to the human body. They also include materials that are easy to recycle.

Easy Maintenance

The integrated rotor and shaft design simplifies maintenance. In addition, grease-filled bearings eliminate the need for lubrication oil management and oil seal maintenance, reducing service requirements and operating costs.

Newly Designed Plug

Designed to reduce motor burnout caused by poor connections, the EP plug is equipped with Super Tough Pins. These pins retain their elasticity semi-permanently, ensuring reliable contact and preventing connection failures.

Reduced Hand-Transmitted Vibration

The vibration balance of HBM has been optimized to minimize vibration transmitted to the operator. In addition, the newly designed hose absorbs part of the vibration, further reducing hand-transmitted vibration.
